Michael is currently pursuing his Master's in Atmospheric and Climate Science at ETH. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Physics from EPFL. After completing a Physics degree with a specialisation in theoretical physics, he pursued his Master's thesis on the General Relativity gravitation theory. Subsequently, he shifted his focus to meteorology. His Master's thesis was about severe convection climatology across Europe and involved assessing a European climate simulation with respect to supercell thunderstorms. Thrilled to continue this exploration, he is now actively involved as a research assistant in the group, where he continues to delve deeper into his Master's thesis project.

Besides his studies and work commitments, he dedicates much of his free time to outdoor activities and sports. He enjoys activities such as running, football, tennis, skiing, hiking, and kite-surfing.
