Theresa joined the Department for Environmental Systems Science in January 2019 as an external PhD student from the WSL Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research. She is supervised by Prof. David N. Bresch (ETHZ) and Dr. Matthias Buchecker (WSL). In her project she analyses the social and institutional barriers of an integrated risk and resources management as a strategy to adapt to climate change in Swiss alpine regions. The project is part of the Climate Change Impacts on Alpine Mass Movements research project of the WSL/SLF.

Theresa completed a Master`s degree in Environmental Sociology at the Lancaster University (UK) where she focussed on climate change adaptation strategies. In her free time, she enjoys biking in the nature or being high up in the air in a hot air balloon.
